Subject:  Microsoft "Word"

Q. When I attempt to print an envelope, after putting in the adresses and clicking print, I get the following error message: THIS IS NOT A VALID MEASUREMENT. I have Windows XP and Office 97. This is a recent problem. I uninstalled and reinstalled the program but it made no difference. I would appreciate any help. Thanks.

A.What size envelope have you specified?

A.I left some out, the issue can happen if using the wrong envelope sizes. Can't remember Word 97 but newer versions seem to be more limited in envelope sizes, particularly not having the 6 3/4 size [3 5/8" x 6 1/2"] listed which then requires the user to create a Custom size.

A.I've not seen that exact message but similar ones have occurred when the paper margins chosen have been outside the minimums of the printer. It can happen when using Avery-Dennison labels and the wrong one is chosen.

Also, Office 97 has some issues with WinXP and the problem may have kicked in after one of the WinXP updates but it's hard to say since your Options is not filled in.
