Q. My C drive is running a clean, fresh install of XP Pro. D drive has Win7 Pro. Both drives are operating exactly as I expect.

My Question: How can I produce an ISO image of either or both drives? I have Norton Ghost 10 and Roxio Media Creator 8.

Q.2: If this is possible, will the installed programs remain intact and activated?

Thanks in advance for advice or help.

Emmitt

A.Norton Ghost makes full backups. Win7 or XP Pro will fit on one DVD (takes up to 3.2Gb). It is always a great idea to make a full image of the drive after you have done a clean install with all drivers, tweaks and updates, in case you need to do a complete clean re-install...takes a lot less time.

A.An .iso image file will be limited to the capacity of a CD or DVD disc, 650MB-700MB for the CD and about 4.5GB for the DVD. I would presume you have much more on the HDDs than the discs can handle. If I were doing it I'd use something like Acronis True Image and External USB HDDs, one for each OS. Another problem with an .iso imaged disc is it usually is not bootable.
