Q. I know this problem has been discussed many times before but I can't find the answers.

The following updates keep failing. This has been going on for over a month.

" Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1 Security Update for Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, Windows 7, and Windows Server 2008 R2 (KB953297)
Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 and .NET Framework 3.5 Family Update for .NET versions 2.0 through 3.5 (KB951847) x86
Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 2 Security Update for Windows 2000, Windows Server 2003, and Windows XP (KB974417)".

I did a search for failed updates on this board but I got nothing. Must have used the wrong search terms.

My system is starting to become unstable. I don't know if it has anything to do with this problem but I need to resolve this one before I can do anything else.

Help. please!

A.Bob;
Thanks for your suggestions. I tried all of them with out any luck. They should have worked but they didn't.

I have a support ticket in with Micro Soft. Hopefully they will be able to help me correct this.

I see were another person Has asked the same type of question today. They were given the same link to go to that you gave me. I hope it works for them.

I am thinking that I may have to do a rescue install or a re-install of the OS. I hope not but it won't be the first time.

Thanks again!

Doug
