At $599, the DC210 Plus provides the same excellent megapixel image (which uses more than 1 million pixels to create higher resolution images) quality as its predecessor, but it does so with less recovery time between shots and a longer battery life. The DC210 Plus also features a new "About" function, which chronicles the camera's history, including the number of images taken with and without a flash. Other enhancements include a multi-lingual liquid-crystal display (LCD); a "Date Stamp" for images; and an included eight megabyte (MB) removable CompactFlash memory card that stores 26 to 120 images depending on the selected Good, Better, or Best image quality setting. We took indoor and outdoor photos at the DC210 Plus' highest resolution setting of 1,152 by 864 pixels and viewed them on a Sony Multiscan 100sx monitor. Our exceptional images boasted full detail and vivid, true colors. The camera also captures images at 640 by 480 pixels and saves shots in either Joint Photographic Experts Group (JPEG) or FlashPix files. Although our shots were sharp and focused, we were particularly impressed with the contrast of dark shades in the images taken under florescent lighting. Equally impressive is the DC210 Plus' template feature, which lets you place a border around images. A Mode dial and scroll buttons on the back of the camera make navigating through Capture, Review, and Preferences settings a snap. The DC210 Plus has an optical viewfinder and 1.8-inch LCD screen for framing shots, a motorized 2x zoom lens, 10-second self timer, 30-second time lapse setting, infrared image transfer capabilities, auto focus, and an automatic flash with fill in, red-eye reduction, and off settings. by Blaine Flamig DC210 Plus $599 Eastman Kodak (800) 235-6325 (716) 724-4000 http://www.kodak.com
