How To Fix This ErrorWe Invite You To Browse SmartComputing.com!

Error Message:
"Motmon has caused an error in MOTMON.EXE. Motmon will now close. If you continue to experience problems, try restarting your computer."
Translation:
At random times, an error message pops up on a user's screen. Each time she clicks OK, the error message box disappears and the computer runs normally, but the error message always resurfaces.

Solution:
Motmon is short for Motive Monitor, which is an application that comes with many Dell, HP, Gateway, Compaq and other computers. It's used for technical support and loads automatically every time you boot your computer. The problem is that it sometimes interferes with other programs. To avoid errors like this, you should disable the software until your computer manufacturer's tech support team needs it. To prevent it from loading, access WinXP's Startup tab and remove the check from the checkbox next to the Motmon entry. Use the same procedure to access the Startup tab in Win9x and WinMe.
